THERAPIST JOB LISTING

Each year, more than 300,000 children across the United States begin their path to healing through the compassionate care of Children’s Advocacy Centers (CACs). Butterfly Bridge Children’s Advocacy Center is proud to be one of Alabama’s 36 CACs, working daily to bring hope, healing, and justice to children and teens who have experienced the unimaginable.

We are seeking a dedicated and mission-driven Therapist to join our team. This individual will play a vital part in our mission to providing a safe, child-centered space where young survivors of abuse and neglect can begin their journey toward restoration. As part of a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team, this role offers the opportunity to make a life-changing difference by conducting trauma-informed and specialized, evidence-based mental health therapy to children and adolescents impacted by abuse. At Butterfly Bridge CAC, we work tirelessly to ensure that every child receives the care, support, and justice they deserve during the investigation, treatment, and prosecution phases of abuse cases.

About Butterfly Bridge CAC

Butterfly Bridge Children’s Advocacy Center is a nationally accredited Children’s Advocacy Center through the National Children’s Alliance and state accredited through the Alabama Network of CACs, meeting the highest standards of care and best practices in the field of child abuse response. We proudly serve Alabama’s 19th Judicial Circuit—Autauga, Elmore, and Chilton counties—with offices located in Prattville, Clanton, and Wetumpka.

Our comprehensive, child-focused services include forensic interviews, family and victim advocacy, trauma-focused therapy, multidisciplinary team (MDT) coordination, prevention and outreach, and access to forensic medical evaluations. All services are provided at no cost to children and their families. Butterfly Bridge CAC is sustained by a diverse network of funding sources, including federal and state grants, private foundations, corporate sponsors, and generous community support.

More about the role

The Therapist plays a key role in supporting children and families throughout the healing process, offering evidence-based clinical care within a safe, child-focused environment.

The Therapist works as part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team (MDT), contributing clinical insight to help ensure each child’s emotional, psychological, and developmental needs are addressed with care and consistency. This role focuses exclusively on therapeutic services and clinical collaboration, while supporting the Center’s broader mission through participation in team meetings, trainings, and community awareness efforts as needed.

• Provide individual and, when clinically appropriate, family-based trauma-focused therapy to children and adolescents

• Utilize evidence-based, trauma-informed treatment models such as TF-CBT

• Develop and maintain individualized treatment plans and track client progress

• Prepare timely, accurate, and confidential clinical documentation and case notes

• Participate in MDT case review meetings, offering clinical perspective to support child well-being

• Coordinate with caregivers and MDT partners to support continuity of care and treatment goals

• Assist therapy clients with court preparation, as appropriate, within the therapeutic role

• Engage in ongoing continuing education, training, and professional development

• Support Butterfly Bridge CAC’s outreach, education, and awareness efforts as requested
